About the Authors of Drip Marketing Letters

Lori Feldman, aka “The Database Diva”

lori100Lori is known as The Database Diva because she teaches sales and marketing professionals how to make more money using their #1 asset, their customer database.

She is founder and president of Aviva, LLC, a database marketing consulting firm that specializes in drip marketing systems, mailing lists, database cleanup and management. She is a Gold Certified Swiftpage Consultant and a veteran direct response copywriter.

Lori is a national speaker on social media (how to integrate your offline and online social communities), database marketing and CRM, and is a past-president of the Direct Marketing Association of St. Louis. The DMA gave her the organization’s top prize, The Direct Marketer of the Year Award. Her email newsletter, The Database Marketing Hotwire,” was the recipient of the Apex Award for Newsletter Writing Excellence 2 years in a row.

As an equal-opportunity database marketing proselytizer, Lori works with companies that have very small marketing budgets and large organizations that can spend millions, yet she always sees the same phenomenon with both:  Success is based on a 60-30-10 formula.  Sixty percent of the success of a marketing campaign is based on the quality of your database, 30% on the offer and 10% on everything else. Therefore, your priority should always be on managing your database.

Lori says there’s one thing you should know about her when you take one of her workshops…

“I subscribe to the philosophy of Howard Aiken who said, ‘Don’t worry about people stealing your ideas.  If your ideas are any good, you’ll have to ram them down people’s throats.’”

Lori holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri/Columbia, and in her spare time likes to pretend she’s an accomplished metalsmith artist.

Susan Clark

Susan Clark “I work with businesses who want to get better at building relationships with their clients and prospects, by showing them how to move beyond using ACT! software like a Rolodex – I’m an ACT! Certified Consultant.

Since sales are all about relationships, I help companies design follow-up systems that build trust and loyalty by guiding them in writing persuasive letters and using technology to lighten their load. I don’t waste anyone’s time because, I know going in what works and what doesn’t. There are certain techniques and psychological factors that can dramatically increase sales. I know them.”

Susan Clark literally wrote the book on ACT! Software: She’s the nationally known and respected author of The Official ACT! Quick Study Guide (now in its 6th edition) which sells on ACT!’s home page. Her company, Cornerstone Solutions in Houston, TX, has one of the largest teams of ACT! Certified Consultants in the world, is one of the top ACT! resellers in the nation, and Susan founded the Houston Area ACT! Users Group.

Susan’s been recognized for just about every honor an ACT! expert can receive. She is a Sage Authorized Premiere Trainer and her courseware is used by many consultants in their training classes nationwide. Susan is actually considered an ACT! Consultant’s “ACT! Consultant” because Sage (ACT!’s corporate parent) hires her when they need to train and certify new ACT! consultants. And she was voted onto ACT!’s Advisory Board (1 of only 9 in the world) by 400 of her peers in the ACT! community. (The Board meets with ACT!’s US president and top software developers to help guide the future of this #1 selling product.) She also facilitates the Houston Area ACT! Users Group.

As impressive as her credentials are, Susan has that remarkable ability to conjure her genius from both the left and right sides of her brain. She has just as many qualifications on the *applied marketing* side of the desk, having served 10 years as Director of Marketing for a Fortune 500 oilfield service company before starting Cornerstone in 1987. You will love Susan’s Texas charm and masterful teaching style. When she teaches, you *get it*.

Susan holds a BA in Public Relations and Advertising and an MBA. On a lighter side, she lives in Houston with her husband of 30+ years and 2 college-aged sons (who are responsible for getting her involved in Karate and Scuba Diving.)
